Questions and Answers

We get asked on emails via our website and on the various other platforms the business uses about our products and how we operate, so I thought I would do a quick Q&A on some of the most common questions we get asked. So here goes:

1.       With regards to the restraints, you mention that the openings can be changed, is this true and does it cost extra to do so?

We have our standard openings for hands, neck and feet; however, we are able to tweak these as we are all individuals. Eventually as the business grows and develops, we shall have a range for each restraint type, say Small, Medium and Large, but for now if you want changes to the opening size just get in touch.

We do not charge any extra to do the changes you may require for the openings. We hold the designs inhouse and we change our 3D models and drawings to suit. These then get past onto our manufacturers.

2.       Can you have a different finish to the products you make?

Currently only a few of our products are painted due to their construction techniques. A majority of our products are polished with a Brush Satin finish to the Aluminium.

We can paint items not currently painted if required, but it would incur additional charges, due to the cost of the process involved. That said it can be done and all would need from yourself is the RAL or Pantone number for the colour of the paint. Before placing an order contact us and we can get a quote for you.

3.       You use Faux Leather, why not real Leather?

We choose to use Faux Leather for many reasons, one of them is that it’s Vegan, however that wasn’t the only reason. We use a Faux Leather from Cristina Marrone - Toro Collection and some of the other benefits of doing so are listed below:

·       It’s MRSA Compliant.

·       It’s wipe cleanable, even with a mild bleach.

·       Flawless grain pattern.

·       Over 750,000 rub test cycles.

·       20 fabric colours to choose from.

Have a look at the following website for more details:  Cristina Marrone

4.       Can the paint colour and Faux Leather pad colours be changed?

Simple answer is yes.

On our images you will see that our painted items are Black Grey (RAL No 7021) in colour and that our pads are also Black in colour. We had to choose when making our samples, you can also choose to match your play space or dungeon. Check out the 20 colours of fabric on the Cristina Marrone website above and with the painting just choose a RAL or Pantone colour.

Also there is no additional cost to you if the item is currently shown painted, just let us know the colour changes when ordering and we shall contact you to confirm everything before we go into manufacture.

5.       Can I buy your products other than on the Beyond Dominance website?

Currently we only sell our products on our ETSY shop. That said due to the fees they take we do not sell our Furniture products on this platform. We do sell all of our Paddles and Spreader Bars as well as our standard Handcuffs on our ETSY shop at the same price as our own website.

6.       The cost of your products seems expensive, why?

There are a couple of things that currently dictate the cost. The price of the raw material is extremely high at the moment due to the war in Ukraine and the current energy crisis within the UK. Both of these are out of our control unfortunately. Our prices are reviewed all of the time and we believe that they are comparable, if not cheaper, to other suppliers around the world for similar products.

7.       Do you have more products coming online?

We have designed further products like a unique Whipping Post, Torture Bar, St Andrews Cross and Suspension Bars to name a few. These will hopefully be available to purchase online in the coming months.

8.       Can you a make bespoke product for me?

Simple answer is yes.

We have a commissions page on our website about the process and how to take it forward. We are here to help, we are designers with a wealth of Mechanical Engineering Design knowledge, so start the conversation, lets make your kinky thoughts come true!!

9.       Do you sell other companies products?

Simple answer is no.

Its not what we want to do. We design our own products and these are made for us by a select group of individuals and companies that are close to our offices.

10.       You don’t seem to make traditional looking products or furniture, why?

We are Mechanical Engineering Designers by trade and our forte is to make products out of the materials we are used to designing with. We also want to deliver unique products that you don’t see on the market currently. The design needs to function well and be fit for purpose and although we could do that with traditional materials and techniques we want to push the boundaries and do it differently.

The world would be a boring place if things were always the same!!

Hopefully the above has answered your queries on the business, how we operate and why we are doing things differently. If you have any further questions or queries contact us through our website contact form and we shall be only to happy to help.
